AWI Education Foundation Scholarships

Varying numbers and amounts of scholarship support is granted by the 501(c)(3) Education Foundation of the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI)

C.E. Bernhauer, Jr. Scholarship

The program, sponsored by the Woodwork Institute (WI), is open to individuals interested in pursuing or furthering a career in the architectural millwork industry. A written recommendation from a previous academic instructor or employer should accompany the application. Application may be made by students entering or continuing enrollment in a university, state or private college, community college, or trade school, or from individuals already working in the industry.

VCCF Career & Technical Education Scholarship

College Major/Area of Study: Certificate Program/Career Preparation (not for those pursuing an associate’s degree) Student Profile: Graduating Ventura County (CA) high school seniors or graduates of any Ventura County high school who are currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a career/technical program located in Ventura County, Santa Barbara County, or Los Angeles County, or in a Certificate Program (not in an associate’s degree program) at a community college in any of these 3 counties. IFDA Scholarships

Multiple scholarships offered by the International Furniture Design Association (IFDA) Education Foundation to full or part time students IFDA/EF scholarships require a major in interior design or a related design/furnishings program, unless otherwise noted. Scholarships are for undergraduate students attending U.S. institutions. Deadline March 31.

LA Trade Tech Scholarships

Different scholarships are available for LATTC students within the Construction Trades department.

mikeroweWORKS Foundation Scholarship Program

The mikeroweWORKS Foundation announced its partnership with Scholarship America to establish the mikeroweWORKS Foundation Education Scholarship Program. The program is set up to award individual scholarships to applicants who want to pursue a career in the skilled trades. All successful applicants meeting the eligibility requirements may be awarded up to $2,500.

SkillsUSA Member Scholarships

Multiple scholarship opportunities available to current and active SkillsUSA student members.

LACITEA Outstanding Student Scholarship Award

Open to any Industrial Technology student in the Los Angeles area who is deemed outstanding by his/her instructor. Award amount is $1,000. Applications are due in early April and the winners are notified in mid-May. Sponsored by LACITEA

Robert E. Dougherty Education Foundation

Brought to you by the Composite Panel Association (CPA), a scholarship for junior and senior undergraduates or post-graduate students in forest products, wood science/technology, chemistry or mechanical or industrial engineering.

Strategies for Success Scholarship Fund

For students in industry-related fields such as construction management or technology, civil engineering, architecture, design or other trade specialty.

Team DeConstruct

The National Center for Craftsmanship offers Team DeConstruct: teaching construction skills while providing an alternative way to take down buildings. Youth and adults learn emerging deconstruction technology and LEED certification protocols. The program seeks community youth interested in learning, developing and applying green building and construction skills. Participants can quality for scholarships of up to $1500.

The Furniture Society Educational Grant

The Society awards grants in support of individual development or programming initiatives at the local and regional levels.

TSA Scholarships

Offers several distinct scholarships for Technology Student Association (TSA) students pursuing technology studies.

WMIA Scholarship Foundation

The Foundation provides scholarships for talented and worthy students seeking careers in wood technology, machinery and related fields, at the post secondary level.
