It is our intent to offer helpful information and resources on the various types of jobs that exist within the wood manufacturing industries as well as refer the user to job directories and related sites. This page contains two categories: Career Resource websites, with tools to help you identify and plan your career path, and Job Listing websites, with available job postings. This Canadian site offers descriptions and profiles of numerous job positions in wood manufacturing as well as a “career roadmap” to help candidates identify interest in the woodworking industry, educational programs for careers in the industry, and job postings within Canada.

Woodwork Career Alliance

The Woodwork Career Alliance of North America is developing a set of skill standards as a means to support the woodworking industry in preparing productive woodworkers. When complete, it will sponsor a voluntary assessment program which will allow woodworkers to demonstrate their competency in the skills and earn credentials that are recognized nationwide.
